Beach Destination Wedding Time!

Beach Destination Weddings are popular this time of year.  I can't think of a better way to escape the cold winter weather than by running to a lovely tropical island to get married!!!

I have added several new beach style wedding toppers to my Sock Monkey Wedding topper collection this year, and they have been a big hit.

Look at this cake!

Here is one I just finished:

The colors are red and turquoise and they go so well with the ocean.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope you are staying warm this winter.
Warm Blessings,

New Sock Monkey Wedding Cake Topper Cupcake Size

I've had several requests for a mini sock monkey topper that could adorn a smaller cake, a cupcake tower, the groom's cake, or perhaps just as a decoration or keepsake.

This is it! It is 2 inches tall. I had such a blast making these little cuties!

This topper can be ordered as shown, or I can make the following customizations:

1. Choose the color of base that the monkeys are sitting on
2. Choose the color of flowers the bride is holding
3. Choose two colors for the two accessory flowers which are included.
~You can order more accessory flowers if you want more than two!

4. I will make this a hangable ornament for you if you ask me to. I will add hanger loops to the top of each monkey, but only if you ask!

ps This would make a wonderful wedding gift.

They're waiting in my Etsy Shop!

My New Ornament

I went to the mail box today, and when I got there, guess who was waiting for me???

Just the cutest little ornament I ever have seen. She came all the way from Pennsylvania, from The Studio at Crow Haven Farm, and I LOVE her so much!!!

She was handmade by Michelle Schafer, a wonderful artist and ADO team member, and I was the lucky winner of this whimsical lady ornie in Michelle's recent blog giveaway. Woohoooo!

Thank you so much Michelle, I love your work and she is such a joy to have around, she'll go in my studio for inspiration, and a reminder of the generosity and creativity of my bloggy sister at Crow Haven Farm!

Alistair Iriekins the Happy Rasta Monster

I was given a box of miscellaneous fabrics and trims the other day. I brought it home, set it on my floor, and took a good look at the contents.

It was evident that a monster was living in that box. He just needed me to put him together. He was hollering so loudly that I couldn't ignore him, even though I had other work to do. So I got out my scissors, thread, and sewing machine, and two days later here he is, sitting next to me with a huge grin!

He has dread locks and big teeth, and a long fluffy tail. He told me his name is Alistair, and he feels irie all the time. He is a happy monster, and very loving as anyone can see by the heart he wears on his chest. I wasn't sure about putting a heart on a monster, but he really wanted it. He is good at hanging out, just lounging in bliss most of the time. He's always good for a laugh and a smile. He is silly, he laughs at anyone's jokes (even if they aren't funny). He just likes to laugh.

He's not really religious, although he likes the Rasta culture, so I call him the "Rasta Monster". He laughs when I say that.
Alistair Iriekins is 17.5" from rump to feelers. That does not include his legs. He is a OOAK soft sculpture.

Alistair Iriekins is listed in my Etsy shop: http://www.spiritmama.etsy.com/
